Public Transit is an essential service for the UBC Okanagan community to get to and from campus.

Update for September 2021

UBC Okanagan is looking forward to a safe return to campus for students, staff and faculty this September.

Transit service to UBCO  has returned to just above pre-COVID levels this fall to provide the campus community with a viable transportation option to commute to and from the campus. This means:

  • Additional buses implemented on routes , 4, 6, 8, 23 and 97
  • The #13 Quail Ridge route is reinstated
  • Routes servicing schools K-12 will be adjusted to meet demands

Face coverings are required on buses and at bus stops, unless a transit user meets the exemption criteria. More information on mandatory face coverings on transit buses can be found on the BC Transit Website.

Up-to-date information on routes and schedules can be found at by the Kelowna Regional Transit System, with the exception of route 90, which is operated by the Vernon Regional Transit System.

The UBCO Transit Exchange is located on Alumni Avenue and Transit Way. You can find your bus stop location on a map of the Transit Exchange

You can also plan your journey using BC Transit’s trip planner or look at a map of transit routes.

All full-time students at UBC Okanagan automatically receive a U-Pass, a universal transit pass that gives unlimited access to regional public transportation. Information on the U-Pass can be found at the UBC Students’ Union Okanagan.

All staff and faculty at UBC Okanagan can enroll in the ProPASS Program Pilot to receive discounted monthly transit passes. Learn how to enroll and get more information on the ProPASS Program Pilot.
